حوار| غادة طلعت: خفت من شخصيتي في بنسيون دلال وليس لديّ خطوط حمراء
Smart, talented, and with a likable appearance… She is Ghada Talaat, who caught attention from her first steps through her role in the series “The Choice”, with the character “Umm Ibrahim”, which was her entry into the world of art. After that, she was crowned with praise for works and successes.
Ghada participated in many series and films and finally drew attention to her after her distinguished participation in the movie “Pension Dalal”, through which she proved her talent and excellence, which is a new beginning in her cinematic career, after she began her artistic journey in theater and television drama.
Rosal Youssef Gateway interviewed Ghada Talaat to share with us the details of her new work, her work with major stars, her ambitions and personal life, and the role she hopes to embody.
You are currently filming two new series: “Black Rouge” and “Phobia”. Will we see Ghada Talaat in a new character that we are not familiar with?
Indeed, I am introducing a very new character to the series “Black Rouge,” called “Walaa.” She is a girl who suffers from the late age of marriage, as it is called in our societies. "Spinsterhood"Her education and culture are simple and limited, and therefore she suffers from societal pressures on her and the family’s view. She works in an atelier, in a luxurious, high-class place. The owner of this atelier is called Madame Laila, and her character is embodied by the star Dalia Mostafa. There is a big cultural difference between Madame Laila and Walaa, who works for her in Atelier, and all the time loyalty "Scarring" She is unlucky not to get married, and she always hatches plans to lure a groom. In the series, we discuss cultures and segments of society, which is represented by Walaa, who believes that this funeral is a place to hunt a groom, and she is at the top of her elegance so that someone’s mother can see her so that she can marry her to her son, as well as at wedding parties or a circumcision feast. "Aqeeqah"Also, after she learned that her cousin had gotten married during one of those occasions, she began looking for these ways in order to entice a groom, and she did not realize that there were many things in life that she could do other than marriage until marriage came…or it did not come.
– So…what encouraged you to play the character of Walaa in “Black Rouge”?
Walaa’s character has a good wit and comes out of many comedic situations, and she is not a depressing or tragic character. Walaa, of course, is very different from me. She is a girl who suffers from spinsterhood and is looking for a groom, but in a light, comedic, cute way. The entire series is very beautiful and wonderfully written by the author, Ayman Selim. He is an author who writes every sentence with a different feeling from the second generation. He is diverse and his characters are very diverse. He writes about real issues, and when the audience watches the series, they will find themselves inside the series, that is, their positions in the series. I am very excited about the series, because the paper was written by Ayman Selim and discusses very important issues about divorce, betrayal, and crises. In the family court, it is not depressing and will not alienate the spectator. The series is directed by Mohamed Hamaki, in our first collaboration, and Saeeda has a nice behind-the-scenes look at the work.
What about the Phobia series?
The Phobia series is my second collaboration and experience with director Raouf Abdel Aziz, and I am very happy to work with him because I worked with him in the series "It will matter" It is one of the best works that I have presented, and I was very happy with the character and his way of managing the location and dealing with the actor. He is an important director and has great dealings with people. He can direct the actor well, and the location with him is calm and the actor will not feel tension and pressure as happens with other directors. I am very proud of Raouf. Abdul Aziz, and I am happy to work with him on Phobia.
Phobia stars Nermin El-Feki, and I play the role of her friend. In the events, Nermin El-Feki is going through a very big crisis and has a major catastrophe, and no one will stand by her except her friend, whose role I embody in the events. It is also a different role for me, and it is a role that many people resemble, and she is the great friend who stands by her friend. She tries to protect her son all the time by raising him with her children, and the character of the great friend is not highlighted much, and I am very happy with him. Regarding the cooperation with Nermin El-Feki, she is a beautiful actress and literally a star. She has many great works and she is beautiful inside and out, and for me she is a very beautiful artist. She is very skilled and very comfortable behind the scenes.
– When director and author Shadi Al-Ramli spoke to you and presented you with the character of Mimi in Dalal’s Pension…what attracted you to her?
In the movie Pension Dalal, I embody a character "Mimi" And I was very, very afraid of the character and I put my hand over my heart and I was "Put my hand on my heart" From the first moment, I auditioned for the character out of diligence and said I would not submit it from the first time I read the character, but I said I would audition for the sake of having worked hard and met the director and thanked him for his interest in me presenting him. After the audition I found Professor Ahmed Tammam telling me to… Professor Shadi Al-Ramli wanted to meet me, so he asked me about the reason for the rejection. I told him the role was too daring and I could not submit it. He asked me to sign the contract, so I told him I had a problem. I explained to him my fears about the character. Frankly, I was very afraid of her because she was very daring. Al-Ramli asked me to clarify the nature of the scenes that I was afraid of, and he reassured me very much. He told me that the character is cute and comedic and not tempting. He explained to me that he insisted on introducing me to the character not for temptation but because I have the comedic sense in presenting the characters, and therefore the character of Mimi is not just a night girl but a character with a sense of humor. She will not present anything bold but will present the topic in a very light and light way. .
Professor Shadi Al-Ramli reviewed the scenes with me, and assured me that I would not present a work that I would regret or be upset about. Indeed, thank God, what was agreed upon was completed, and it is one of the kindest experiences for me. Professor Shadi is a great gain for me. He is an educated and conscious director who wants to present work that is different and very different from what he presents. And not just because he works, peace be upon him. This is a very important experience for me. Likewise, cooperating with the producer Imad Sayed Ahmed was a tremendous experience. He is one of the respected producers who is keen on getting the work out in the best form and with a logical rhythm. He cares very much about the actor and is one of the best producers I have worked with. He is an important producer and I hope to work with him always and I hope. He has presented many important works.
You said that you are optimistic about the second part of the Godar series. What scene did you face difficulty in and that affected you psychologically in the Godar series, especially since filming takes place in real places and terrifying atmospheres?
Indeed, the Godder series had a very difficult behind-the-scenes scene because we were filming in a real cave with real insects and bats and most of the insects and animals that we know, and from them came the sounds of bats, dust, and terrifying things passing by, and I had feelings during filming that it was possible for this cave to fall, but the director, Islam Khairy, was… He was keen for the filming to take place in real places, and to be in places that actually resemble the events and not decoration, and in reality it was very, very frightening and frightening, but what made that easy for us was the sincere and diligent director Islam Khairy, who was great, and I want to thank him for giving me that opportunity to work with him. In the Godder series and before it in the series "Jet intact" With Donia Samir Ghanem, it is one of the experiences that I am very proud of, and it is the second work that brings us together. He is a director who pushes you to love what you do and do it happily, and we bear for him because he is a sincere and understanding director.
– You are experiencing the theme of miniseries in a series "Phobia"And before in a series "Jet intact"..What do you think about the phenomenon of mini-series?
I participated in many series with less than 30 episodes "Jet intact" And loyal "Phobia" And in a series "The accused" Starring Dora, Wafi "Last turn" Starring Dina El-Sherbiny and directed by Hussein El-Manbawy, and the truth is that all of these works are for me very successful, and I see that the trend towards short series has proven to be very successful because all the time we have that series fall into the problem of prolongation and prolongation, which is a trap that many series fall into. The series starts out strong and then… We discover that there is repetition and boredom until the rhythm becomes dull again or the viewer is not repulsed by the first episodes, and the trend towards short series is very good. We also present the five episodes, and I see them as very positive, taking into account the nature of the work, the idea, the method of writing, and the events on which the work is based. This dictates how it is dealt with and the number of its episodes. There are many series with 30 episodes and they are very successful and their rhythm is tight, in addition to providing other parts to them, and what I mean is that it depends on the idea.
Ghada Talaat is a different artist and has abilities that make her an important actress in the history of drama. Do you keep this goal before your eyes when choosing your roles?
I try as much as possible to choose real roles that resemble reality and express real people as a character "Umm Ibrahim" In the series The Choice, the audience loved her, thank God, because she resembled them and resembled many mothers who suffer and are forced by her husband’s power and society’s view. Her husband is a terrorist and her son has been “brainwashed,” and she is trying all the time to steer him away from this path and trying to correct him according to her education and culture. These are models. Is around us.
As well as the character of Samira in the series "The journey" Starring Mohamed Ramadan and Dina El-Sherbiny and directed by Mohamed Yassin, who works in the salt factory in Alexandria, and I was keen all the time to present the role that resembles the truth, and it is not necessary for her to wear makeup and her clothes are simple, her nails and her hand showing signs of misery and fatigue, and therefore the audience believed Samira and published her pictures from the series.
I always try to present works with sincerity and search behind their details and present them from my heart, so that they can live and be believed by the public. I certainly hope to obtain greater opportunities and greater spaces through which I can present more human models, more female models, and have a larger space and canvas through which to show what I have. Providing real models through entertainment and message together.
What roles could you refuse and why?
I reject roles that are not well written or unimportant and just presence. I love acting very much and it is the thing I love most in my life, but I also do not like to be present and peace and I am not influential, so if the work is not good I apologize for it and I am happy.
Yes, I love acting, but I also have the power of rejection and the ability to say, “No, I will not present this or that work because it is not effective and will not add to me. I have no red lines in acting. I can offer all roles as long as they are well written and true, but I will not refuse for any reason.” Other than that the work is not important, impactful, or real.
What role do you dream of playing?
I very much hope to participate in a series about the Pharaohs and present a Pharaonic character, and have works that talk about the Pharaohs. This great civilization, which is loved by the whole world and is a symbol of Egypt, I think it is necessary to have works that talk about it. It is forbidden for us to have this great history and abandon it. It does not have to be a difficult historical work, but it may be a simple work.
