At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Tariq Marzouk said, “I am always keen to meet with the media and the press, as they are partners with us in the national work to clarify the facts for public opinion.” Major General Marzouk indicated to the journalists and media professionals that they were one of the topics of his meeting with the Prime Minister while reviewing the governorate’s efforts during the last period. .
Major General Marzouk added that we have great interest in citizens, identifying their demands and needs, and solving their problems. They must participate positively with the state in confronting all negative phenomena. Major General Marzouk stressed that citizens’ positivity in cooperating with the state contributes greatly to dealing with issues and confronting negative phenomena. During the meeting, Major General Marzouq reviewed the efforts made by the governorate and its agencies in all aspects and files of work during the last period under the title “Achieved Efforts and Sustainable Targets,” which included the file of technological centers to serve citizens. Major General Marzouk explained that technological centers to serve citizens are being visited. In the local units, to provide the service through the one-stop shop, the “Governor of Dakahlia” also reviewed the file of controlling prices and monitoring the subsidized bread system, stressing that campaigns on the markets have been intensified during the past months, as a number of violations were detected and dealt with, in addition to activating the campaigns and following up on a daily basis on Bakeries and imposing fines on those who commit violations. Major General Marzouq also discussed the governorate’s efforts to activate the Public Stores Law, noting that 21 centers for issuing licenses for public stores have been prepared, and the total number of applications submitted since the beginning of the issuance of the executive regulations of the law until last October 20, and the Major General also reviewed Marzouk expressed the position regarding the projects of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life” in Dakahlia Governorate, explaining that 98% of the projects of the first phase in the governorate were implemented, which targeted 26 villages in the Sherbin Center at a total cost approaching 11 billion pounds, explaining that the governorate comes in third place in terms of percentages Implementing decent living projects.
The “Governor of Dakahlia” also discussed the initiatives launched by the governorate to raise the level of cleanliness, under the supervision and follow-up of Dr. Ahmed Al-Adl, Deputy Governor of Dakahlia, including the launch of the “Mansoura is beautiful with its youth” initiative, which aims to educate citizens about the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of streets, squares, and the environment, in addition to planting trees, painting ballasts, and maintaining… sidewalks by dividing the youth into work teams that were distributed across the various streets and squares of the governorate and launching the “Gamsa is More Beautiful with Its Youth” initiative, as well as the Sports Day for youth entities organized by the Youth and Sports Directorate, as well as the “Happy with Their Bag” initiative under the umbrella of the National Alliance for Civil and Development Work, and the “Kafr al-Amir is beautiful with its youth,” in addition to organizing the Egypt Hands Exhibition for handmade products.
The “Governor of Dakahlia” also discussed the President of the Republic’s initiative “A New Beginning for Building Humanity,” also under the supervision of the Deputy Governor, noting that this initiative was launched based on the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic last September, with 70 vehicles for mobile services belonging to the Ministry of Health, the Ambulance Authority, the Post Office, and the Land Registry lining up. The mobile technology centers and the drinking water and sanitation company provide services to citizens.
He said that during the initiative, the governorate’s agencies held seminars, events, and training courses, carried out free medical convoys and civil status missions, and provided in-kind and material assistance, which included: implementing 679 awareness seminars, implementing 2,851 training courses, and implementing 63 convoys provided by the “People of Dakahlia” Development Convoys Team. Providing two mobile service vehicles as part of the initiative to carry out 44 vehicle missions (the real estate month), as well as implementing 21 exhibitions, 160 job opportunities were provided, 980,102 health services were implemented for citizens, and 288 meetings were held in the preaching and endowments department, including meetings in mosques, jurisprudential programs, and ethical programs. 64 trips and celebrations were implemented, in addition to providing 3,533 financial aids to the elderly and people of determination through the Social Solidarity Directorate.
Regarding the efforts to improve the cultural appearance and improve the visual image, all unlicensed advertisements that harm the general appearance in some areas were removed, and all measures were taken that would license these advertisements and place them in an aesthetically pleasing and unified design. Major General Marzouq explained that the governorate had arranged a piece of Land in an area outside the city to establish a civilized parking lot with a capacity of 500 cars to transport unofficial parking lots from within the city of Mansoura, which causes congestion and traffic congestion. A new “Dekernes” parking lot was also established outside the city and all unofficial parking lots were transferred to it. The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed the area’s file during the meeting. The Governor of Dakahlia also addressed the position of reviewing cars for the disabled, noting that Governorate Resolution No. 927 of 2024 was issued to form a committee headed by Major General Mohamed Salah Abu Kreisha, Undersecretary and General Secretary, and the membership of representatives from all parties to pass the cars of the disabled to ensure they are in their possession, and all of them were also counted. The cases totaled 6,700 cars at the governorate level, and all the cases that were licensed were limited to 5,202 cars through the database received from the competent authority, in addition to distributing the cases to centers to facilitate the work of the committee. The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed the efforts to rationalize electricity consumption and the file of removing infringements, and pointed to Mechanisms for dealing with rice straw, explaining that 160 sites were authorized to collect rice straw and the establishment of an agricultural waste recycling plant on an area of 30 acres, in addition to holding 422 seminars to urge farmers not to burn rice straw and deliver it to the collection sites.
The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed some future projects in the governorate, including a proposal to develop the zoo and the development of Shajarat al-Durr Park, in cooperation with the National Military Production Authority. He also reviewed the position regarding the project to develop the governorate capitals and eliminate slums, including what concerns the housing of the Sharq neighborhood, where a decision had been issued. A Republican allocated a plot of land with an area of 6 acres in the city of Mansoura to the Urban Development Fund. The governorate implemented a project to build 11 towers, consisting of 658 units (residential and investment) with an area of 150 square meters, in addition to 88 administrative units and 12 commercial stores, indicating that the project was implemented by 94 percent. %, and also the Al-Jalaa Residences Project, where the implementation of the project was completed, which consists of 7 residential towers with a total of 702 residential units, and 58 commercial stores, in addition to a health unit and a nursery, in order to house the residents of Al-Jalaa Residences in addition to the residents of the two shelter buildings in the Al-Majars area, for whom a decision was issued to remove To house 282 families, he added in this regard that a public lottery was held for this project to distribute housing units to residents of evacuation and shelter housing and to hand over housing units to citizens who completed contracting procedures for electricity and water meters.
Major General Marzouk will also review the position of the governorate’s investment plan for the fiscal year 2024-2025, and the position of implementing its programs during the period from July 1, 2024 until October 26, 2024. He explained that a number of projects are being implemented in the fields of transportation, roads, communications, improving the environment, local administration, technical support, and urban and rural development. And local economic development. The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed the most prominent investment opportunities that the governorate enjoys and are ready to develop an investment vision, explaining that their number is about 17 opportunities, including 6 opportunities that have already been included in the governorate’s investment map, with a total area of 23 acres, in addition to 11 opportunities. New project with a total area of 72 acres. These opportunities target the establishment of various projects, including tourism, entertainment, service, commercial, educational, health, and hotel projects.
During the meeting, the Governor of Dakahlia discussed the project to develop the city of Gamasa, in light of the promising components of its distinguished location, including developing and raising the efficiency of the beach of the city of Gamasa, which would contribute to creating new investment opportunities and encouraging investors to implement projects on the beach, in addition to the proposal to establish a tourist resort on the beach. An area of 5 acres submitted by one of the investors, and a proposal to establish a social club on an area of 25 acres submitted by one of the investors, to exploit plots offered as an investment opportunity.
The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed the reconciliation efforts in building violations in the governorate, noting that Dakahlia occupies first place in implementing this file at the republic level, indicating that the number of reconciliation requests submitted in the governorate, since the issuance of Law No. 17 of 2019, reached 163 thousand requests, and 43 thousand were examined. He asked her, reviewing the total fees for serious reconciliation and the total proceeds. The Governor of Dakahlia added that after the issuance of Law No. 187 of 2023, the door to accepting applications from citizens was opened on May 4, 2024, indicating that since that date, 129,250 applications have been submitted, The Governor of Dakahlia reviewed the total fees for reconciliation in this regard.
The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed the governorate’s efforts to recover and legalize state-owned lands, explaining that Dakahlia occupies third place in the republic in legalizing the status of squatters on state property, noting that the number of applications submitted reached 7,193 applications, and about 5,700 contracts were signed related to these applications. Financial proceeds have arrived. Of which, it amounted to about 633 million pounds, explaining that the governorate’s completion rate in this file amounted to 95.1%. Major General Marzouk also reviewed what was achieved in the solid waste system management file in the governorate, as he indicated that new collection and transport equipment and water sweeping vehicles had been purchased. With raising the efficiency of all existing equipment in the governorate, with a total of 784 equipment, and within the framework of developing the infrastructure system for waste recycling factories, a number of factories were established in the Mansoura and Manzala centers, in addition to rehabilitating and raising the efficiency of 3 factories in the Sinbellaween, Aja, and Belqas centers, to raise energy. Capacity of recycling plants from 600 tons/day; To 3,340 tons/day, an engineering sanitary landfill was also established in Qalabshu, Belqas Center, on an area of 50 acres, to reduce the negative environmental impacts resulting from the random disposal of waste. The Governor of Dakahlia added that the number of 8 random dumps was removed in coordination between the governorate and the Ministries of Local Development and the Environment, to raise 1.7 million tons, and transporting them to the final disposal sites. A contract was signed with a company to manage the agricultural waste recycling plant in Qalabashu, in addition to contracting with 3 street sweeping companies in the areas of the Sharq District, West District, and the city of Talkha to raise the level of cleanliness in the central region, with the implementation of 11 cleanliness campaigns. Expanded across the governorate to raise the efficiency of the level of cleanliness and raise the disinfection results for canals and drains.
The Governor of Dakahlia also reviewed a number of projects being implemented by the governorate in cooperation with a number of international institutions, such as the project to establish a headquarters and build the capabilities of workers in the Integrated Solid Waste Management Unit in the governorate’s general office, the consulting studies for the Kitchener Bank project, and the project to establish a municipal waste recycling plant in the Belqas Center. The establishment of the fixed intermediate station in the Nabruh center, the development of garages in the Nabruh and Belqas centers, the closure and rehabilitation of the informal dump in Qalabsho, the Belqas center, and the purchase of waste collection and transportation equipment.
