According to the “Transport” statement, the report indicated that Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, was directed to develop an urgent and comprehensive plan to advance and develop all affiliated companies, supply them with all modern equipment and units, restructure some companies, and implement a plan to rehabilitate, train, and educate the human element, as it is one of the factors for the success of the system.

In just two years, the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and its subsidiaries were able to achieve distinguished business results and provide distinguished services in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, as the preliminary financial results for the fiscal year 2023/2024 appear, and the results achieved during the fiscal year 2022/2023 compared to the results achieved during The previous year, there was a significant development in the results achieved, according to the following:

– The total revenues of the holding company, according to preliminary indicators for the fiscal year 2023/2024, amounted to 4.117 billion pounds, compared to total revenues amounting to 1.953 billion pounds in 2022/2023, and compared to total revenues amounting to 1.480 billion pounds in 2021/2022, an increase of 111%, and 178% over The previous two years in a row.

– The final net profit for the fiscal year 2023/2024 is 3.223 billion pounds, compared to 1.380 billion pounds for the year 2022/2023, and compared to 1.185 billion pounds for the year 2021/2022, an increase of 134%.
And 172% for the previous two years in a row.

This was achieved as a reflection of the financial results achieved by the companies affiliated with the holding company, as the total revenues of the affiliated companies for the year 2023/2024 amounted to 17.640 billion pounds, compared to 12.884 billion pounds for the year 2022/2023, and compared to 8.105 billion pounds in 2021/2022, an increase of 37%. And 118% for the previous two years in a row.

The net profit of the subsidiaries reached 10.551 billion pounds in the year 2023/2024, compared to 6.668 billion pounds in the year 2022/2023, and compared to 3.283 billion pounds in the year 2021/2022, an increase of 58% and 221% over the previous two years in a row.

The report indicated that these results achieved are due to the efforts made during only two years, during which the implementation of restructuring plans and the development of work systems and assets of the companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport began, as follows:

1- Container and cargo handling activity: The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport contributes to a number of (3) companies working in the field of container and cargo handling (Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling – Port Said Container and Cargo Handling – Damietta Container and Cargo Handling), which were able to achieve an increase in the final net profit in the year. 2023/2024, amounting to 7.4 billion pounds for the years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 – The Port Said and Damietta Container Handling Companies also achieved an increase in the number of containers handled by 395 thousand containers for the year 2022/2023, and 791 thousand containers for the year 2022/2023 – in In light of the implementation of restructuring plans, raising efficiency, supplying 3 RTG giant yard cranes and 3 STS giant berth cranes, in addition to the operations of deepening and dredging the berths, increasing the depth, attracting international shipping lines, and rehabilitating the yards while improving operational processes through the application of the latest electronic operating systems.

2- Maritime transport activity: The National Navigation Company, with its fleet, succeeded in securing the transportation of wheat imported to Egypt. The company also, within the framework of its work to support the national fleet with high-tech ships that are in line with the needs of the current and future market, took measures to modernize the transport fleet, and the ship Valley of the Kings was added. Which was honored by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi raising the Egyptian flag on it. It is a modern dry bulk ship of the “BULK” class, of the “Kamsar Max” type, with a capacity of 82.3 dwt, a length of 229 m, a width of 32.25 m, and a maximum draft of 14.5 m. The ship conforms to All requirements of local and international supervisory bodies and commercial operation; It is equipped with the latest modern technical technologies in terms of machines, generators, and advanced navigational devices.

The company also purchased the ship Wadi Al-Arish for the naval fleet with a total tonnage of 82 thousand tons. It is considered the jewel of the national commercial fleet due to its distinguished navigational equipment and devices with the latest international technologies and models, and also for its compatibility with environmental requirements. The ship’s length is 229 meters, its width is 32 meters, and its draft is 14. 5 meters long, the ship supports the Egyptian commercial fleet in the operations of securing and transporting strategic goods coming to the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially wheat, on behalf of the General Authority for Supply Commodities. The company was keen to contract to build a number of new ships and restructure the system for evaluating and appointing marine crews on ships with the use of ERP applications. Verson. CFM, within the framework of implementing presidential directives to restore the strength of the Egyptian commercial fleet and to achieve the greater goal of transforming Egypt into a regional center for transport, logistics and transit trade.

The report indicated that this support with these ships led to an increase in the company’s net profit to 54.07 million dollars during the year 2022, compared to the profit in 2021, which amounted to 50.96 million dollars, and the profit in 2020, which amounted to 21.5 million dollars.

3- Loading and unloading activity: Suez Automated Shipping and Unloading Company achieved an increase in net profit in the year 2023/2024, an increase of 139% over the year 2022/2023, and an increase of 300%.
For the year 2021/2022, by working to develop performance, examining ways to grow revenues, and strengthening the company’s equipment by purchasing 3 clarks with different tonnages and renewing the contract with the General Authority of Red Sea Ports to exploit a number of (3) yards in Safaga Port to use them for storing goods and cars, in addition to carrying out work. Loading and unloading within it – It also agreed to manage the model warehouse in the Safaga seaport with an area of ​​5,900 square meters for a period of five years, starting from 10/2/2022.

4- Warehousing activity inside and outside the customs department: The Egyptian General Warehouse Company establishes, manages and exploits public warehouses, squares and free zones. The company’s total initial revenues for the year 2023/2024 amounted to 655 million pounds, and the net profit amounted to 166 million pounds.

5- Shipping Agency and Customs Clearance Activity: Al-Qanat Shipping Agencies Company, within the framework of restructuring efforts after transferring affiliation to the Ministry of Transport, reactivated the shipping agent activity, expanded warehousing activity, and opened new work areas in the activity of providing logistical services. Restarting the Al-Arish branch to provide the company’s customer services. The port, with the addition of new activities to increase revenues (management and operation of logistics areas activity – real estate investment activity). The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport also took measures to merge the companies (Abu Simbel and Taiba Shipping Agencies – Amoun Shipping Agencies – Memphis Shipping Agencies into Abu Simbel and Taiba Company to implement procedures Restructuring the aforementioned companies to take advantage of the advantages of the merger to create strong entities capable of competing and growing revenues.

6- Marine Supplies and Works Activity: After transferring affiliation to the Ministry of Transport, the Egyptian Company for Marine Supplies and Works made efforts to develop the company’s revenues, as total revenues in 2023/2024 amounted to 445 million pounds, compared to 379 million pounds for the year 2022/2023, and compared to 100 million pounds for the year 2021. /2022, an increase of 17% and 345%, respectively, as a result of the purchase of two cranes to increase the ship bunkering activity in the Port Said branch – the expansion of many activities, including the activity of buying and selling scrap and waste by salvaging and scrapping sunken ships – the activity of safe disposal of hazardous waste – and the activity of works and conducting Sandblasting, painting and cleaning works for tanks of marine units. The company also implemented an electronic billing system and purchased 50 computers to connect the main center and branches and implemented civil protection procedures for the company’s stores.

7- Passenger transport activity:
The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport is affiliated with (3) companies working in the field of transporting passengers between governorates, which are (Egypt Transport and Tourism EG BUS – East Delta Transport and Tourism – West and Central Delta Bus Transport and Tourism) offering their services to transport passengers between the governorates of the Republic on regular lines with service levels. A variety of buses equipped with modern technology and passenger stations spread throughout the governorates of the Republic.
The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport adopted a comprehensive development and modernization plan for the three passenger transport companies, which was approved by the Minister of Transport, which includes granting financing to companies to implement the strategic plan, with a total amount of 1.706 billion pounds, according to the following:

Contracting to purchase and supply 48 Man Kastur buses for a total amount of 354 million pounds. 10 buses have been received and the supply is being completed.

Contracting to supply a total of 100 Yutong buses produced by Al-Nasr Automotive Company
An amount of 1.050 billion pounds, 50 buses for each of the East Delta and West and Central Delta companies.
 Reconfiguring and raising the efficiency of 382 buses in stages, in addition to raising the efficiency of service stations and maintenance workshops.

8- The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport contributed to the capital of Acta Public Transport Company, which provides a passenger transportation service within the Administrative Capital with 50 buses powered by clean electric energy. The Holding Company also contributed to the capital of the Egyptian Frequent Bus Company (EGYPT – BRT) through… Financing the purchase value of 100 electric-powered buses to transport passengers on the ring road as part of the state’s drive to provide transportation services by clean and environmentally friendly means.

9- Goods transportation activity: The Holding Company implemented procedures to restructure the five goods transportation companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and merged them into the Nile Goods Transport Company to create a strong entity capable of providing goods transportation service with the highest standards of quality and efficiency required, which led to an increase in the quantity of goods transported. Consequently, the revenues achieved – according to the preliminary results for the fiscal year 2023/2024, the total revenues amounted to 234 million pounds, compared to 178 million pounds for the year 2022/2023, an increase of 35% over the previous year.
The implementation of the plan to develop the goods transport fleet is being completed by strengthening its transport fleet, as a contract has been made to purchase and supply 50 tractor heads / 53 semi-trailers.

10- The activity of establishing, operating and managing garages: through the Egyptian Company for Integrated Projects, which, after transferring its affiliation to the Ministry of Transport, was able to raise the efficiency of the Cairo Land Port project in Torgoman at a cost of 14.344 million pounds, which led to an increase in the final net profit for the year 2023, reaching 8.284 million pounds compared to An amount of 4,259 million pounds for the year 2022, compared to an amount of 1,400 million pounds for the year 2021, an increase of 95% and 491%, respectively.

11- In addition to the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport contributing to many diversified companies, as follows: Egyptian Maritime Transport Works Company (Martrans) – South Valley Development Company – Egyptian Group Company for Multi-Purpose Terminals – Egyptian Fund for Finance and Investment Documents Company – Arab Maritime Company For transporting petroleum – as well as newly established companies such as the Egyptian Company for Logistics Zones, the Suez Canal Company for Seaports Development, the Berenice Sea Port Company, and the Jarjoub Sea Port Company, which work in various activities (logistics services – management and operation of cargo and container handling stations – management, operation and maintenance of ports.

12- The Holding Company believes that human resources and technology systems are the most important assets needed to carry out its activities and work, and that investing in them is one of the most important components of success and growth. Therefore, in the field of human resources development, the company has implemented 9 International Professional Trainer (CIPT) courses from the University of Missouri/ 128 international professional trainers were graduated from the Holding Company and its subsidiaries. 11 training courses were held for a total of 6,425 trainees from employees of the Holding Company and its subsidiaries. 130 drivers and technical workers were trained at passenger transport companies. The Holding Company also developed 10 organizational structures for the company. 13- Intellectual property rights:

The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport obtained intellectual property rights certificates issued by the Information Technology Industry Development Authority of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in:

• An electronic application for booking bus tickets for companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and works through the companies’ reservation offices, HCMLT Booking web App.

• A website that allows the user to book bus tickets with the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and its subsidiaries.
• An electronic application for data exchange/archiving/electronic signature for correspondence.
• The Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport is also in the process of obtaining three quality certificates
ISO 9001 -2015 / ISO 45001 – 2018 / ISO 14001 – 2015.
